Are you struggling with ways to keep your flock entertained? I know that I sure did when we lived in the city. Keeping your chickens entertained is one of the best ways to prevent chicken fights from happening. If your chickens can’t free-range then it will especially be important to keep them entertained.

Tip 1- be sure to make snack time fun!
If you make snack time fun then your chickens won’t get as bored. Even just throwing them your old vegetable scraps that you would normally throw away can be a fun and exciting treat for them. My favorite treats to give my chickens are mealworms, vegetable scraps, and berries! If you want to make your chickens a super fun treat then I would make a veggie garland. I have done this before and when I did my chickens loved it. All you have to do is tie some vegetables to a piece of twine or string. Your chickens will love it and it will keep them pecking on the veggies and not each other.

Tip 2- make sure that you have a fun and interesting coop
Just by adding a new roosting bar in their run, would be a very fun and exciting thing for them! If you wanted to go a little more fancy you could add an adorable swing to their run. Another fun idea is to add an old ladder, and by adding an old ladder your chickens will be able to climb and jump around on it. If none of these ideas sound like something that you want to do you could just rearrange the stuff you already have in there. If you give your chickens new scenery by moving their stuff around, it will make them feel like they have a whole new set up.
