How long is my chicken going to live?

If you’re like me then you probably have a favorite chicken. I wish they could live forever, but sadly at some point, they are going to die. But have no worries because you still have quite a few years left with them! If you continue to feed them the proper food and providing them an ideal living situation then you should have your friend for at least a few years!

Come on, just admit it that you have a favorite chicken, I think that we all do. 😂Maybe it’s the one that follows you around, or it’s the one always asking you for treats. Anyway back to the subject now. Chickens on average can live for 3-10 years. Which I know is a big gap! But I believe that if you don’t mind having a freeloader around, then you can keep them for many years. Just provide them good quality feed and space to live in and she will be around for a bunch of years to come. The oldest chicken to ever live is Muffy, she lived to be 22 years old! That is more than double the average age.

What is the oldest chicken that you have or know about? Let me know in the comments below.
