The Polish- is the breed right for you?

This is one of my most favorite breeds! They are the most adorable and kinda silly-looking breed around, (or at least in my opinion.) They do lay eggs but if your purpose is specifically for egg production then this breed probably wouldn’t be as good as other breeds.

About the breed

Polishes lay a small white egg, and their eggs are some of the most adorable eggs that I have seen! They lay around 150 per year so as you can tell that it is not near as much as as the Barred Rock. So if you are looking for a reliable layer then you would be better off choosing a different breed.

They will begin laying when they are around 8-10 months which is a really long time compared to the average. Overall if you are wanting an adorable pet chicken then this breed would be perfect for you. They are great for backyard chicken owners with kids! They have awesome personalities and are one of my favorites out of all the breeds that I have!
