How to have happy and healthy chicks!

Chicks are very susceptible to diseases when they are little so I am going to share with you how I raise my chicks to stay happy and healthy!

Chicks when they are very little need some extra immune boosters to keep them healthy so one of the best ways is apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is a natural way to help your chicks get all the probiotics that they need! I like to fill up a gallon jug of water then add one tablespoon apple cider vinegar to it and mix it up, that way you always have some to fill their water up when you need. I even give my grown chickens this about once a week and I have never had any problems with any of my chicks or chickens getting sick.

Another way to keep your chicks happy is by keeping their area clean. This is super important for both chicks and chickens and by keeping their area clean they will be way less likely to get sick! So if your brooder area is smelling then it is definitely time to clean it. Your brooder area if kept clean should have no smell at all! The next thing you should do if you want to raise healthy chicks is use a high quality and organic feed if possible. So that means don’t just go to a random store and buy the cheapest food there, sure it saves you money then but it most likely won’t in the long run. If you are just buying the cheapest food out there it definitely won’t make your chicks happy or healthy.
