This recipe for sugar scrub is super easy to make. You only need a few simple ingredients which you most likely have at home. It really doesn’t get any easier than this, and the nice thing is that you will never have to buy sugar scrub again!
The sugar scrub makes about 6 oz
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of coconut oil or olive oil
- 3/4-1 cup of sugar (depending on the texture that you want)
- 10-15 drops of (essential oil of choice)
Notes: Because there is no preservative in this, it won’t last as long, so try to use it up within a couple weeks for best results.
If you use coconut oil, try to store at a warmer temperature otherwise it might solidify. This isn’t necessarily a problem, but it might make it thicker then desired.
Instructions:
Begin by melting your coconut oil over a double boiler (you could also do this in the microwave.) You need to watch the coconut oil carefully, make sure to heat it only until it melts or is almost melted. If you are using olive oil then you can skip this step.

Once your coconut oil or olive oil is melted then add your essential oil of choice (I like to use lavender.)

After that add in the sugar and combine it all together. Now you have just made homemade sugar scrub!

To store keep it in a mason jar or some sort of an airtight container, then you have homemade sugar scrub with no harmful chemicals!

Have fun making this super easy sugar scrub!
